A greener PVC Packaging Solution
Globally, the world of packaging and plastic consumption is making a change and aiding the reduction of pollution in our oceans, air and wildlife. But it all starts with the changes us as businesses make.
Custom Tape Ltd have the environment in mind and have a PVC packaging solution that dispels the myths of plastic consumption and allows us to manufacture an adhesive tape that is more sustainable and friendly to the world we live in.
What is it made from?
PVC is made from two basic ingredients, oil (or gas) and common rock salt, it is chemically inactive, a safe raw material and odourless. Additives, such as controversial plasticisers and heavy metals are only partially required for further processing or manufacturing finished goods.
The PVC backing that Custom Tape Ltd uses for their PVC adhesive tape is free from heavy metals and plasticisers. As the main component of PVC is common rock salt, the production of PVC uses far less fossil fuels than other plastics and less energy per kilogram polymer. When incinerating PVC for energy recovery, dioxins can occur, which however are captured in the filters of the incineration plant.
What about the adhesive?
All Custom Tape Ltd PVC tapes are coated with a natural rubber adhesive, where the main component is made from more than 50% renewable resources and the rest is sustainably sourced.

Custom tape Production Process
The process below is based upon a standard 10-14 working day lead time.
1. Order Received
When we receive your enquiry our quotation is sent within 1 working day.
2. Artwork
Our highly skilled designers produce an artwork proof within 24 hours of receipt.
3. Approval
Once your artwork has been approved we will then raise your order on to our systems.
4. Plates
Once your order has been raised we will then produce your printing plates.
5. Production
With all your paperwork and plates produced your order is ready for production.
6. Quality Control
Once print production is complete all rolls are checked for quality reassurance.
7. packaging
Your rolls are all carefully packaged and wrapped ready for collection by our courier.
8. delivery
Your printed tape order is then collected by our next day courier (UK-mainland only).

Our custom printed tape has a multitude of functions it is commonly used for : Printed packaging tape, custom printed barrier tape, Logo tape for marketing purposes.
